All, The Secrets of the Five Elements

Even with a good birth chart, misfortune has its limits.

Hello everyone (๑╹◡╹)ノ This is your 32nd meeting with Huoyun.

When we look at someone’s birth chart, we definitely hope to hear good things from the fortune teller.

So, a birth chart that can elicit positive comments from a fortune teller is considered a “good” birth chart.

What kind of birth chart can be considered a good birth chart?

From a traditional perspective, a good Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) is one that has formed a complete structure and image.

Besides the familiar patterns of the Ten Gods working together, such as the mutual generation of Killing and Seal and the pairing of Hurting Officer and Seal, there are many other patterns here, such as the Harvest Pattern, the Flying Heavenly Horse Pattern, the Golden God Pattern, and so on.

Because there are so many schools of thought in Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny), the information behind the term “structure” is actually quite extensive. However, regardless of which school of thought is being used to interpret it, as long as the structure is established within its logical framework, then the Bazi is considered a good Bazi.

Why?

Generally speaking, people with a well-formed birth chart (or “structure”) are mentally and physically sharp; in other words, they are quick-witted and perceptive. They also tend to possess other outstanding traits, such as exceptional patience, resilience, or eloquence.

Unless their major life cycles and annual cycles are extremely unfavorable, their standard of living and personal achievements will surpass at least 90% (and possibly even higher) of people, because truly well-formed birth charts are very rare.

Once a well-formed birth chart is formed, it’s essentially one in a hundred. In other words, these people are born with superior innate talents.

This is definitely a good birth chart, and a good birth chart according to the most standard concepts.

Actually, “good” is a very subjective thing. Although there is a general framework for judging “good fortune,” which is what I just mentioned as a well-formed chart, such as being able to live a life free from worries about food and clothing and achieving success in one’s career, etc.

However, in some key areas, different fortune tellers will give different answers due to their different backgrounds and values.

For example, if you go to a 70-year-old fortune teller to analyze a woman’s fate, his primary concern will be whether she married well. If she married poorly, his evaluation might not be very high; he might typically say something like, “Oh, she’s very good at making money, but she doesn’t have a man to rely on; she’s pitiful,” etc.

This is because in their worldview, it’s very difficult for a woman to survive independently in a patriarchal society.

But if you come to me for a consultation, since I’m a woman, and specifically a woman with a strong “Eating God” and “Hurting Officer” element in her birth chart, the primary thing I consider when assessing a woman’s fortune is her ability to earn money.

Because I believe that in modern society, women have many opportunities. As long as a woman can acquire money and resources, her life won’t be bad.

In my view of marriage, it’s either a mutually supportive alliance model or an employment model. A better employer provides better benefits, including a nanny, a house, a car, and pocket money; a worse one involves working for someone else, with domestic violence, absentee parents, and single-parenting…

Therefore, a fortune teller’s values greatly influence their judgment of “good fortune”.

Similarly, some so-called “good fates” with well-defined patterns may not necessarily be “good” in my opinion. For example, someone may have great worldly achievements, but they may have to bear enormous pressure and mental torment throughout their life, which I would consider a very difficult fate.

Many people have a misconception that one’s birth chart determines one’s life. In fact, one’s life determines one’s birth chart. The birth chart merely depicts you as a third party, and ultimately, it is you who determines the unfolding of your life’s various scenarios.

From this perspective, our destiny is in our own hands. If you want to transcend the constraints of fate, you must first begin by transcending your own limitations.

For example, why are people with the “Hurting Officer” star prone to making trouble out of their words? It’s because they’re arrogant and speak harshly. When you’re on a winning streak, people around you can’t argue with you and will give in, so you’re fine. But as time goes by, your words will eventually cross a line with someone who won’t listen to you, and then it becomes a case of “Hurting Officer meeting Official, causing endless trouble.”

Therefore, the ultimate goal of all divination arts is to guide spiritual practice, because this is the only solution, the only way to escape fatalism, truly live out one’s “self,” and achieve freedom.

Only after you free yourself from external influences and innate habits can you see your true self and the true nature of the world, rather than the illusions you perceive after processing external information.

It’s like this: given the same piece of candy, the God of Food sees the person as kind, while the Seven Killings’ first reaction is that they want to harm you. Who do you think sees the truth? Who has better fortune?

Finally, I’d like to share some of my favorite passages from Yuan Shushan’s “Song of Destiny” from the Qing Dynasty:

A kind heart and a good life bring wealth and honor until old age.

A kind heart but a bad fate, heaven and earth will ultimately protect you.

The heart is the source of life; the most important thing is to uphold justice.

Fate is the foundation of life; success or failure is difficult to predict.

Of course, spiritual practice is a long process, and it’s very difficult to change one’s habits. I haven’t done well either, but we must have a goal. As long as we have a goal, even if we walk slowly, we can still reach the other shore.

Let’s encourage each other! ❤️
